Sesame Street Gets HBO!

The more things change the more they’ll stay the same.

At least’s the hope ’round Sesame Street.

Sesame Workshop, the nonprofit that puts on the children’s show, has inked a deal with HBO that will give the premium cabler bagsies on the next five seasons of Sesame Street beginning this fall. The new episodes will be retooled to air for free on PBS, the home of the show for the past 45 years, but only after nine months.

While it will be a wait, HBO is planning on funding twice as many shows per season, so at least there’s that to look forward to, if you don’t have HBO at the moment.
