You Wanna Go?

The folks at Entertainment Weekly must be so chuffed.

First, one of their old writers, Gillian Flynn, became a runaway worldwide literary sensation with her hit novel Gone Girl (which was just turned into an excellent, David Fincher-directed hit film starring Ben Affleck and a sensational Rosamund Pike), and, now, the magazine’s TV critic, Jeff Jensen, is getting ready for his time in the spotlight thanks to the buzzy Tomorrowland, a new live-action film helmed by Brad Bird (The Incredibles) that he dreamt up with Damon Lindelof (TV’s Lost, HBO’s The Leftovers).

Clearly, they put the good stuff in the water at the EW offices.

Check out the first teaser for Tomorrowland, starring Britt Robertson (TVs Under the Dome), George Clooney, and Hugh Laurie as the villain of the story.

The film – which is scheduled for a May 22 release – has Clooney playing a jaded former boy-genius inventor and Robertson as the curious-and-troubled teen with whom he partners to embark on a mission to unearth the secrets of this so-called miraculous place lost in time and space that only exists in their collective memory and that can access only by touching this mysterious pin that has come to be in her possession.

In’erestin’....
